Saudi Arabia Hosts Umrah for the Harassed US Clockmaker

ahmed the US clockmaker

Ahmed Mohammed Al-Hassan, an American born Muslim teenager with Sudanese heritage was arrested by the authorities few days back. The reason behind his detention was his teacher believed that the clock he made was actually a time bomb.

Later on Ahmed was released, and was called up by the Custodian of the 2 holy Mosques for Umrah in Mecca. The 11th grader believes that he can provide free electricity to the whole world but his idea needs to be financially supported by someone. Ahmed made the clock with things that people usually throw away e.g. old phones, pagers, television etc. The kid says that he has 13 other unique inventions that can be later on turned into strong products.

The treatment Ahmed got from the teacher and the authorities initially caused shock waves among the media but he was later on publically supported by President Barack Obama and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Since then he has been receiving multiple offers from many of the Multinational companies, even twitter and Google have offered him job at their companies. The same Microsoft that rejected to develop Ahmed’s idea and asked 10,000 USD for the development, now want him to start working for them. Among his ideas were the remote control mechanisms that can switch off a projector.
